The pastor of Grace is Tim Holland. Tim is a native of Georgia, and has spent most of his life in this state. He and his wife Alice are graduates of Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. They started Grace Baptist Church as church planter apprentices with the Southern Baptist Convention, and our family of faith has grown from the eight who united with us in July 1992 to its present membership of more than 260. Alice has retired following a career of teaching 32 years for the Forsyth County School System.
Tim believes that the Biblical model of leadership is summed up in servanthood, and his ministry to the body of Christ at Grace exemplifies that belief. He and Alice have two great sons, Caleb, who is married to the former Kimberly Bollinger of Toccoa, and is a graduate of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. Caleb has completed a term as student ministry intern for the Baptist Campus Ministry at Valdosta State University, and Joshua is now Corporal Joshua P Holland of the United States Marine Corps and a member of "The Commandant's Own" The United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps, based at Marine Barracks Washington, DC.
